The piece was inspired by the Thamama rocks that was found under 16404 feet deep in Merban , Abu Dhabi. Thamama rocks was perceived out during the revolution of the oil discovery in 1958 from pearls to petroleum. The resulting piece is a great symbolisations of the pearl to petroleum transformation. While pearl diving was once the most lucrative profession in the United Arab Emirates. This Legacy gave the country it’s first taste of internationalism.
